Peter Feckl Maschinenbau offers lapping as a process for finishing workpieces. Lapping enables us to smooth surfaces while maintaining tight tolerances:
Diameter: up to ø 500 mm
Flatness: 2-3 µm
The lapping machine works with loose grains distributed in a paste or liquid, the so-called lapping mixture, which is guided on a mostly shape-transferring counterpart in cutting paths that are as disordered as possible for the individual grains.
Lapping is a machining, i.e. shaping, manufacturing process. The surface quality is tested using an interference tester.
